Smurf a Priest? Zabra Hexx is here to help !

Do you smurf a priest?

Warcraft have many priest and Zabra Hexx may be able to help Gargamel on his smurf hunt.

Sorry...wrong priest in the smurf world.

But Zabra Hexx is indeed a priest in the World of Warcraft and whether how good he is, I will not be able to answer you here. For here, he shall display his best for his details and paint job, sculpt.

Zabra Hexx is blue and the outfit which he is wearing is majestic with high shoulder design to show his status. Injecting a sense of fear with the tribal hunted heads and bottles of potion hanging from his belt while carrying a Egyptian style staff to carry out his rituals.

Striking a great pose, you can forgive the lack of articulations for you to tweak around.

For amongst the Warcraft Priest, Zabra Hexx is one not to be missed!

Who is Lo'Gosh in the World of Warcraft?

As to who Lo'Gosh is in the World of Warcraft, I shall leave it to your discovery over this site which can explain better than I do. But for here in Daily Toyz, Lo'Gosh is presented as an action figure which is designed by DC Unlimited and has a great stance of a fighting warrior.

He somehow reminds me of Conan or He-Man, probably of his gear and image projected. Well, you can always double him up as a barbarian character or gladiator to fit in your collection.

As he still maintains the great detail standard from series of Warcraft figures, however, mine suffered from a quality control issue. Everything is fine but I am unable to detached his sword handle to be placed in between his right hand to complete the stance.

Since he has a grabbed knuckle, I might as well leave him as it is then risk breaking his sword. Unfortunately, he does not come with any straps on the hips which I can hang his weapon.

Other than what was highlighted, everything is great with this figure for his details, posture and paint job,

Putting this aside, Lo'Gosh is quite a hefty figure and added with some serious details for his facial expressions and gear. There is one weak area that I feel is the lion crest done for his buckle, it looks the lion's head was not done larger to bring up the significance.

The only articulations are both of his knees where you can turn them for better balancing purposes only.

As always, this is another Warcraft figure that kept to it's standards for many fans and collectors to assume.

A She-Elf in Warcraft.......Valeera Sanguinar

For the real fans of Warcraft gaming, she is no stranger but to people outside World of Warcraft, Valeera Sanguinar is a very attractive figure.

For many of Warcraft characters, their names are not easy to remember for general public and it may get on your nerves trying to recollect their identity.

Fortunately, many have an animal association features or some mystic creatures which we know in many fantasy stories.

For Valeera Sanguinar, she is an Elf and that makes her outstanding especially she is made to be what a She-Elf is expected of. Donned in red costume and posing in a fighting stance, many cannot missed her outright!

The key thing as always in DC Unlimited Warcraft figures is minimum or non-existence of articulations and I would say, the posture which has been fixated on Valeera Sanguinar, is dynamic as it is. You do not need articulations in her but she do have 2 turning points on her right wrists to twist her holding blade and let elbow for minor posing purpose.

With that, you are practically left to admire this figure with your imagination as she is.

She do have sloppy paint jobs done on her face, hair, chest and trimmings of body armor. All can be forgiven for that she is a She-Elf, isn't it?

In the way she has to pose, she cannot "survive" without a pair of transparent disc bases stuck onto her feet to give her balance and fall free.

Putting aside her flaws which can be overlooked if you are not a perfectionist, who do not welcome a Rogue in Elf form?

If you ever get these Warcraft figures, they will surprise you more than they are in the box.

A Priestess in War......Sister Benedron of Warcraft

Running in the series of Warcraft figures that I have acquired, Sister Benedron is not one of the favorite figures which I have to get but to due to some bundle opportunites, she just has to fall into place.

For figures in the Warcraft line designed and produced by DC Unlimited, you will just have to open them them up to appreciate the art behind them and only then, they will be able to WOW you.

Upon close examination, I would say, she has a cross feel of a Roman statue and Indian fashion in her. The black color skin choice is not the influencing factor but it is more on her clothing, posture and the pair of wings.

Though she is not articulated in any way, she is well posed with satisfying paint job to enhance her features.

I have took the liberty to modify the emblem which is hung in the front and move it to her dress on her back. The weapon is now detached and let her hold on her hand in the posture.

If you are looking for articulation in this figure, it is always disappointing but details says it all. I do not recommend paying a high price for her unless you terribly desires her.

What is Tavru Akva?

Who and what is Tavru Akva? Does Warcraft rings a bell?

If you do not play Warcraft, I believe the name makes no sense to you, likewise to me. But that does not matter here in Daily Toyz. Here lies another interesting and menacing figure that is worth investigating even if you never knew him.

Since Warcraft line of figures have been taken over by DCDirect on the design and production, many characters have surfaced and many have are known to be detailed in their design.

As I do not play the game and looking as a collector angle, this is an awesome figure to discover.

Putting aside his responsibility in the game, he is solely based on a walrus and ironically, his weapon is a spear made of fish head bone. It  is very realistically designed and done with strings loop with hooks to add to his usage. The wood texture adds to the realism of it.

The awesome details are displayed through the pictures which I have taken and for many who have known this line of action figures, they are basically statues with limited articulations. In this case, Tavru Akva has only 2 wrists articulating for the adjustment of his spear holding.Which means, for the rest of his life, he is stuck in this javelin position and he did spectacularly well.

Details and paint job are the major strengths of Tavru Akva and you will not be disappointed with him since he do carries some weight.

Overall, a great piece to add to your collection especially for adult collector who displays their toys and he should come reasonably priced compare to figures like that Iron Man.

The Barbarian....Origins of Diablo

March is here and calls for the end of my holidays in Chinese Lunar New Year. I still have many wonderful picks that stacks up for your viewing.

Following my last post on the Diablo, Lord of Terror, I have the Barbarian who is also from the same series.

These figures are very much neglected and forgotten by many as time flies and they have existed since year 2000.

The figure will not be appreciated if I have not taken him out to examine the details since he looks a bit on a smaller size. However, he is still packed with details that amazes me. With a limited articulations and fixated stance, he is still stand at about 5 inches and you really cannot do much on his posing. Articulated only on neck, shoulders, waist, hips, forearms and ponytail which accounted for a total of 9.

The highlight of him shall be his detail face sculpt, muscles, clothing and armor accompanied by details on his 4 weapons (Shield, sword, axe and knife).

His expressions and details crafted makes this figure an awesome treat, if you can get hold of him and release him from the plastic cell.

See if you have some luck getting him and try not to over pay for him.

Lord of Terror.....Origins of Diablo

He who does gaming knows what is Diablo and he who played Diablo knows who Lord of Terror is.

It has been more than decades since Diablo has enter into the gaming world and we have seen figures created for fans. Here I have an old school Lord of Terror created by EPIC action figures back in 2000.

Although we have a recent addition of NECA version of Lord of Terror, the first Lord of Terror here still have his charms of horror to terrorize all.

Came packaged in old style card form, he has two parts that requires assembly which you need to snap on his back spikes and tail.

Standing at 7 inches tall and tail length measuring from his toes is 7 inches, he is quite a big size for the year he was produced and has basic articulations for shoulders, hips and ball jointed neck. This is somewhat standard with very limited pose you can do. However, he shall not disappoint you with his details on the scales and very well done dragon like tail.

The crown jewel that is on his head is ruby red that is soft and kind of translucent. Though he looks spiky and dangerous, the spikes and horns are soft and not sharp for safety reasons.

He may lose out some great sculpting and articulations to the latest Neca version of Lord of Terror but for a 15 years figure, you have to appreciate from where he came from. Even now, he still have his charm.

Roar of the Orc Shaman

How often we fight over whether to open the toy or keep it in card? This mental struggle is always vivid for collectors alike but it takes one toy at a time to get this over.

For me, having keeping this awesome Orc Shaman from the Warcraft series designed by DcDirect, I think it is time to crack this beast open and enjoy the hidden beauty carries.

Finally, gotten him out of package, I never regret doing it. This is it!

A very detailed and well sculpted figure with super lack of articulations except for his arms. Technically, he is better off as a statue, not an action figure but the great details that went into him just cannot be denied and thrown away. His armor and clothing have went through great amount of detailing to bring out his sharpness.

The only removable parts are his wolf headgear and hand armor with blades.

I like his stance and the menacing strain he expresses although you cannot change due to his limited articulations.

Well, with a massive size that can much up to Hulk, would you pass over him?

What's the Catch? : Orc Shaman from World of Warcraft

From the infamous Blizzard online games, World of Warcraft, numerous characters have emerged and take fantasies into the hearts of all fans. While not neglecting their potential of the characters which mostly based on mystical beings and with such rich basis, they are great to be released into our world of action figures.

Design and produced by DC Unlimited, the figures are known for its immerse details and statue posture with limited articulations. So much less that one can say they do not qualify for action figures.

Well, if you are an adult collector and rarely plays with your toys, they are good display pieces. So no screaming at the losses but focus on its details.

Apart from the very few WOW figures I had, Rehgar Earthfury, Orc Shaman, is one of the few outstanding figures which I wanted to get. He comes from series one and one of the few I like with the immerse detailing from his head to toe and armor are insanely crafted.

Based on his size, he can probably match up and stand off with my Hulk as green is their fave.

So if you ever wanted to have this guy, be prepared to sacrifice for movements. Aim for the details. You will not be disappointed.

Portrait of Toyz : Tauren Chieftain of World Of WarCraft

Fans of WOW will know who he is, and I do not need any introduction on his background.

If you need to know his bio data, go google it. Over here, I am showcasing a figure produced by SOTA Toys (not DC Direct version).

Based on his size of about 10" tall and pretty heavy bulk. Detail decorated with tribal accessories and carrying his only staff.

I would say this bull is finely detailed even before we get the DC Direct version.

Just look at my pictures and you shall believe.

Portrait of Toyz : Warlock from the World of Warcraft

Warlock are masters of the demonic arts. Clothed in demonic styled cloth, they excel in using curses, firing bolts of fire or shadow, and summoning demons to help them in combat. Warlocks, while being excellent spell casters, also excel in supporting fellow allies by summoning other players or using ritual magics to conjure stones imbued with the power to heal.

And here I have the portraits of him....

For the fans of WOW !!!

Look at the details and colours imposed on this figure. It's just enough to intensify you.

Figure articulation not that fantastic but it does stands well with his Skull staff.  As such posing is limited to what you see here.
