Lord of Darkness by #Mcfarlane

McFarlane's Movie Maniacs era brought in the Lord of Darkness from the 1985 flim. The devil with big horns have a pair of boasted ego hanging over his head.

I have not watch the movie yet and guess who is cast in this film? Tom Cruise !

Never mind about the film but this figure is detail to the very bottom of his hoofs. The only accessories he came with is a sword and a display stand with a movie card.

The cloak on him is very detail and fixated his arm movements. Surprisingly, he has ball joints for his shoulders and ankle but you cannot articulate his shoulders as he is restricted by the cloak he wore.

He is pretty much rare as before and even now. So if you ever saw him, give him a chance minus the devil.

Redeem your Wings.....Spawn

In the alternate realities of Spawn, the wings of redemption brings forth the flight of Spawn in his angel wings for salvation.

How does that work out to be?

Well, let just see what Spawn has to offer in this reality featuring his wonderful pair of very detail and nicely sculpted wings, which are incredible and made of flexible material. They have toned it with some brown washed to make it worn and if this pair of wings are to be on Marvel Angel, it will also be fantastic too.

Knowing Spawn figures, he is basically posed and there is not much of articulations you can play around but he is already well posed and a conversation piece even though he is only 6 inch tall compare to his bigger twin at 12 inch.

For a relatively great price, he is hard to pass and I had to let him shine.

Overkill in Spawn Classics

When Spawn action figures are in full force driving insane details in the market, they have accomplished a high level in the year 2001. In that year, Spawn series 20 was born and a deluxe box in this series is Overkill.

The sheer size and details packed in this figure is superb even until today's standards. He is one juggernaut of Spawn that smells power.

The color and tone washing are very well executed which he has a some bionic metal growing in him which covers from his chest how. He has 9 articulations and was not given the knee joint that he shall always remain in a squat position. May be practicing on some kungfu stance.

He also features 3 hand cannons on both arms which can be hidden on his left arm, while the right arm is fully extended. The chains are also additional decoration for him and you can either wrapped them round his hand to make a tougher appeal for a punch or at your imagination. For accessories, he still have his signature parking meter as the choice weapon for some serious damage.

For an early 2000 action figure, he still live up to a great collection and still smashes on for more good years to come as some things will never be the same in the future.

Spawn i24 Comic Boon Covers - The infamous "Flying" Spawn

Retro back to the good old days of Spawn and here comes the infamous "Flying" Spawn straight out from the comic cover issue 24.

Mcfarlane has given us a series of comic cover Spawn in real action figures. Isn't that cool?

With the appeal for Spawn figures collecting waning, it is a good time to collect some real good Spawn in the market.

I have gotten another good chance to get this flying Spawn loose and snap it up for a display.

Though rusted with age on it's chains, I think it gave him an added character as well.

Give him a chance, let him fly with you.

Scythe Meister...the Assassin Transformed !!! #halloween special

Since Halloween is nearing and I have just managed to modify the 12 inch Scythe Meister figure, designed, by Mcfarlane Toys, as he was no longer able to feature in his original fashion. While making use of the coming season, I might as well do some justice to him and feature a updated post for him.

He is not a very well-known figure unless you are into Hellraiser movie, which is based on the works of Clive Baker. Does not appeal to many due to his hideous look and really scares off the kids which makes him an PG rating action figure.

With many parts of his accessories broken and messed up, I have to re-modify his head gear and take out the access equipment while replacing it with only the chains, giving him a metal chain head gear like a rocker. Complete with a spike collar that makes him lie a punk!. Since he got very cool long chains to play around, I wrapped him along with them to display come coolness.

Hi weapon comes with a trigger action and carrying it in his stance looks more like a guitarist with a screaming expression.

Here comes Halloween.....!

Death and Rebirth...Aliens #halloween special

Besides ghouls and zombies, facehuggers and chestbusters are creatures which you never want to face and hug.

As history repeats itself for a fresh meal in the Aliens' Death and Rebirth.

Using props from Aliens playset and Predators from Mcfarlane toys, I gather them up for a history of Death & rebirth for the Xenomorph.

Braveheart.....The Lion

From the tales of Wizard of Oz, we have known the Lion for his bravery and courage for the heart he wanted. Am I right?

Oh, we are in the wrong side of the fairytale and here is the dark side where lies the Land of Oz !

The Lion for the reasons which I do not know, got himself into a battle with full battle-damaged until his guts are out ! Oooooo..how painful!

Designed and created by McFarlane on the series of twisted tales, we have The Lion, who is one of the best character in this series. How often you get a serious lion action figure? I like the Lion from Narnia, who has a charisma of awe but the Lion we have here is a warrior that suffered multiple wounds and pain. However, he stills possess the King's air.

The sculpt of his mane and facial expression really hit the spot. If he has a variant twin on non-battle damaged, it will be a definite addition as well. This Lion has seen his days where he is wounded literally from head to tail.

He came with cool accessories for you to pierce through him such as the spear, knives and a trap standing on a display base.

This is an "action figure" which doe not need to know his origins to appreciate.

Where the Raven falls....Spawn

This is where Raven Spawn falls into Hell from brightness and brings on the fight against evil. This is where I present you Raven Spawn from series 21 which he is much like his counterpart.. Hell Spawn.

I am not sure why is he named Raven Spawn since I do not study Spawn comics and that is really lacking on me. How lazy !

However, putting up a figure before you and showing you at his best is where I cannot deny.

Needless to say, Raven Spawn is anther detailed Spawn figure with his Staff and with his Helm, he looks like the King of the Dead from Lord of the Rings and very much merging into their company of Dead Men of Dunharrow. Which I can put place him into this army for a secondary role in my collection.

Do not look for articulation for Spawn figures and he is also quite limited and he cannot turn his head. So what you see here is pretty much what he can pose.

If you are into Medieval period figures and a touch of death, Raven Spawn can champion the role well.

Who likes a Clown ?

Clown has gone from funny to crazy to scary.....and a nightmare for some children.

No matter how much you hate or love a clown, here is one clown that needs a little introduction. For his sculpt and psychopathic look will not be pleasing but a definite great figure worth your discovery.

Originate from the Spawn Classic series 20, Clown IV here is a variant who dons a leather jacket, slash a knife, steps on a manhole cover and keeps a pet rat. How about that?

Raider of Dark Age

My recent recollection of old school Mcfarlane toys from the 90's and he is Raider from the Series 12 of Dark Age.

Being more than a decade old, fully armored, Raider still able to impress on his details and Centaur stance. While back then, they still use hair-like materials for tails and hairs for action figures, which is kind of a signature feature for Spawn figures.

Looks like he is hunting competitively against the Predators for prize skulls with this spear.

This Centaur is on a fierce side but if you like mystical creatures or horses, he might works for you.

Welcome to HELL ! I am Spawn !

From Hell Spawn issue 11 comes Spawn Series 24....Hell Spawn.

He is one cool figure with needless to comments on his details and total lack of articulations which he aren't suppose to pose.

All he does is stand firmly with the help of a rotatable base and holds his chains of hooks.

Basically , what you see here is the best and only supposed position he should and can be.

He does not look good in the package but he definitely strikes out when he is out for a pose.

Here he comes for the Salvation !

Spawn VII on Throne

This is Spawn from Series 21 and like many other Spawn incarnation done by McFarlane, he still puts a WOW factor amongst all other action figures along the line. Though he cannot be truly classifies as an action figure due to his extreme lack of  "proper" articulations, he is still one fine dude that you will take notice of.

The box is not very impressive and plainly done which you can do without it. The position and his pondering mind over the skull on his hand makes a statement to the whole feel of this figure, other than it's impressive detailing added to his throne.

But he is a bit on a small and skinnier side compares to his other counterparts which might be due to his rat infested throne. Pest busters anyone?

Overall, a neat piece of art for display even he is more than a decade old.

Collection Exposed : Land of Oz. #Mcfarlane

One of my childhood regular TV or cartoon series is catching glimpse of Wizards of Oz and the characters are trying to be what they hope for. But I never yearned for any action figures back then for them.

However, I will not be tempted if they made the regular figures until I saw the twisted version done by McFarlane toys. As always, impressive sculpting and added accessories that brings out the awe in the toys.

And it comes with some gore and blood and sex appeal which is not for the young. Parental guidance is required for these figures.

The first figure that impresses me is the Lion that comes with immerse crazy sculpting and battle scars but his head sculpt is what captures the warrior in him.

The Woodman is one figure that features many articulations which unlike McFarlane toys.

And next comes Toto, a beast like creature that have translucent skin texture which you can see his internal organs.

The rest are scarecrow that has some good messed up sculpting and crows to go along, the wizards which I have yet to find his strengths and lastly Dorothy, who screams a whole lot of sex appeals.

Nevertheless, you never get over these splendid figures with limited action but will never wish they came alive......

There is Beauty in Evil....Skull Queen

More than a decade ago, Skull Queen is raised from the creation of Mcfarlane Toys and today, she is still an underated female figures that can bring on a sense of evil beauty like Medusa does..

Came from Spawn Series 11 of the Dark Ages, she is jam packed with accessories which we have seen less in these days. Carrying a removable pack on her back which gives her the awe of respect and holding an incredibly detailed staff and axe, you definitely cannot mess with her. If this is not enough, she came with 2 minions of skeleton crews and both carries an axe each to fend off her enemies. How cool is that!

With all the introduction, you will have now have to see her to believe.....
