The Mighty Thrasher Suit #Batman
Finally, we have a Batman Thrasher Suit that can match up to Iron Man's Hulkbuster for a clash of the iron between DC and Marvel.
Well, this is not the intention for rivalry and we shall focus on the Thrasher Suit by Greg Capullo.
First up, he looks solid and does feel solid as I hold him which means no hollow plastic. This is good!
Second, fully articulated fingers and we have not seen that since Toybiz time and I think the first in DC action figures. This is great addition to the features.
Third, he is packed with details and a removable head gear.
How cool is that for just 3 pointers.
Where most DC collectibles on the recent releases are fragile in build, this Thrasher Suit Batman has yet to disappoint and I hope he never will.
He does not come with any accessories but with a removable head gear. However, putting on the head gear do not translate to articulation which is not promising for head posing. The head within do have full articulation to turn around and tilted slighting up and down. Somehow, the pale fan boy head sculpt does put me off but I cannot deny that is is a decent good sculpt which adheres to the comics.
Since he does not have any loose accessories, he is sculpted with a utility belt. For a huge robotic suit, how and why do you need a utility belt which makes it difficult for him to access? The size just doe not seems to match up but for some imaginary comic sake, we can forgive it.
The joints looks perfect for a robotic suit that is very mechanical.
Without further a do, let us admire the art of the Thrasher Suit Batman.

Ultimate Cable of Marvel Legends
Along the line of Marvel Legends, series 6 involves Cable, and after looking through all the reviews, he definitely did not disappoint me.
As he has surged in price over the secondary market, getting him loose is a better option for a lower price since I wanted to get my hands on him to see the good on him.
Being in the Toybiz era of Marvel Legends, he is treated with multiple articulations and many details from head to toe. The bio-mechanical arm is nicely done too. The only lazy done areas are the the punches with cheap lines running through for details. However, much can be forgiven as the overall appeal stands out well.
He also don a removable shoulder armor to boost up his size but standing at 6.5 inches does makes him a little smaller. Many would expect a bigger Cable.
The other interesting element shall be his big weaponry which fits well on his left shoulder. This big gun is actually a rider for Cable to ride on but it seems senseless for the concept and the size isn't right for a rider for him too. Imagine holding up your bike as a weapon on your shoulders?
Well, for all Marvel fans out there, this Cable is still a good contender until Hasbro come up with one to match which is unlikely for articulations but hopefully a good size up.

When Venom explodes with heads
The popular nemesis of Spiderman, Venom is always an interesting character don by Eddie Brock and many interpretations has been translated into action figures.
After years of transformation, Marvel Select has given us another ultimate version of Venom with a lot to explore.
The removable multiple heads back attachment is well-sculpted with articulation and 2 arms, which fits nicely on to Venom's back. He has 3 sets of Heads, 3 pairs of hands and a pair of arms. These has greatly set him a good standard for changeability.
Standing at about 7.5 inches from head to toe or about 8 inches including the tip of the head from his backpack of heads, he has a good size in the Marvel Selects category.
The hands may seem to be rather fragile but as I have changed the hands for many times, all still fits well without breakage so far. However, mine seems to be suffering from weaker kneels that makes standing an issue. They should have given him a double jointed kneels since he is quite top heavy compares to the regular hinge joints which tends to worn loose after repeated posing. The elbow joints can also be considered for double joint to shaped off the ugly cut elbows.
He is still packed in the regular Marvel Select big packaging and you will noticed that he does not come with a base even though it is stated on the package. He was not given the open jaw head shown in the pictures as it may be cancelled along the way.
Overall, this Venom is successfully upgraded from the previous Toybiz version and kicks in quite a big punch for the fans.

Strip down Planet Hulk
Hulk has always been one of the favorite Marvel Characters of all time and with the Avengers streaming on, he is no doubt an indispensable team player.
When Hasbro took over Marvel Legends, they came up with this Planet Hulk and glad this came out well for me. I did not get the full armored Planet Hulk back then until I got hit up with a loose one who is stripped off from his armor.
Even without the detailed armor, Hulk is still a good sized up with detail muscles, sculpted veins and paint washed over his green body. He features a good amount of articulations leading down to his thumb, fingers, ankle rocker and toe pivot which are rarely seen in the "new age" of Marvel Legends. Cast with a grumpy face expression, he still works out for a good face details.
However, the let down to me is only the brown pants which is only paint washed without any detailing and the trimming are just lazy job done. It is always practical to have rip off pants on Hulk with the torn trimmings, if not, it might seems like Hulk wears his pants after his transformation. Wonder such scenes will ever be created?
For a Hulk or Marvel fan, this Hulk shall not disappoint you even without any armor and Hulk does not need any armor. All he need is a pair of good pants to go along.

Fearsome Rhino of Marvel Legends
Once a upon a time in the middle age of Toybiz Marvel Legends era, there is a Rhino kept within the boxset of the Fearsome Foes of Spiderman and a decade later, he might still be a strong contender over the new age of Marvel Legends. For this, we shall see in the very near future....
Dramatic, it may seems but we will get to see if the new Rhino BAF from Hasbro will beat this guy down or match equal to him.
For now, this Rhino is an awesome representation of sculpt, articulation and size. Standing at aout 7.5 inch tall, he is quite a big figure in his era and even for now. Might even pass of as a BAF size.
For the detail grinning head sculpt featuring the rhino eyes on each side coupled with the detail crumpling skin and sculpted with both hand and toe nails, I would say, it may be hard for many figures to match unless it comes with a hefty production cost.
His strength also comes from his multiple articulations which some I would say it is quite useless. But it can be fun to have it rather than a fixed clench fists or torso.
The only match up figure now should be from Marvel Select Rhino based on the details and its physic is better proportion than this Toybiz version. But rigidity is the killer for Marvel Select Rhino.
For if you happen to come right up to this Rhino, he is one that still worth your penny even til this day.
Happy hunting but no killing.....!
