What's the Catch ? : Mortal Kombat by Infinite Concepts

Hey ! It has been a month since my last post. Very busy month with nephew and niece coming over for holidays. Christmas is also round the corner !!!

Having them around is great fun and joy though a bit tiring. But managed to share some toys collection with them while they Nerf around with their guns.

Pit stop for this month of hunting leads me to finally got hold of a complete loose set of Mortal Kombat figures from a collector. An unexpected find indeed.

Obvious cleaning needed as they looks like they have not bath for years. Sticky isn't it.

A bit of an introduction to this line of figures which existed since1999 and produced by Infinite Concepts (I have no idea what other toys they made and if they still in biz). Anyway, they are in conjunction with the Street Fighters figures by Resaurus back then.

With sizes up to 8 inches, they boasts a C.O.G.J.I.T.™ (Center of Gravity Joint Integrity Technology™) which makes the figures stand properly balanced. Very big technology tagline for a toy. Actually, I do not see any difference as the figure still fell.

Sad to say, they only managed to mass market the first series and 2nd series end up as prototype. They made me go through the research about their origins and dug out the beginings.

A total of six figures which includes, Shang Tsung, Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Sonya Blade, Mileena and Liu Kang.

A rare find for such figures and they do live up to its articulations and details back in those days but even now, they are still in a considerable good level of standard for action figures.

See here to enjoy.

  2. I only ever nabbed the Shang Tsung and Sonya Blade versions. I really think this was one of the best MK toy lines ever made. it is a shame it didn't get more exposure. I think the company didn't last long as from what I have read, they haven't been in business for awhile. That Mileena is just the coolest.
